Individual driving simulation solutions for science and training
Based on our proprietary SILAB® software, we design, implement and distribute customized simulator- and simulation solutions. SILAB was spedifically designed for scientific purposes and is continuously developed further in close cooperation with our users. In addition to research and development, this also enables the targeted use of driving simulators for training and driver education.

The Würzburg Institute for Traffic Sciences looks back on a long tradition of research and development. Since our foundation in 1999 as a spin-off of the Psychological Institute of the University of Würzburg under the direction of Prof. H.-P. Krüger, we have developed into a successful medium-sized company with an interdisciplinary team since 2011 under the leadership of Alexandra Neukum (Managing Director since 2011) and Dr. Armin Kaußner (Managing Director between 2011 - 2017).

- Research Services: We conduct scientific studies on complex traffic psychological research topics and provide our clients with comprehensive advice on the design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects. Our expertise in traffic psychology, engineering, human factors, and computer science enables us to provide in-depth insights into human behavior in traffic and to make sound recommendations for action.
- Driving Simulation: We develop and distribute individual simulation environments (e.g. car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, VR pedestrian simulators) based on our proprietary software SILAB®. SILAB is characterized by a high degree of flexibility and user-friendliness and enables the realistic representation of a wide variety of traffic situations. Our simulation solutions are used for research, education and training.
